Medicine Hat Receives Transit Funding From Province

The Alberta Community Transit Fund provided municipalities with funding to help expand Alberta’s transit system, green Alberta’s transit fleet and increase transit ridership. 33 successful municipal projects were selected on March 7, 2019. The program provides $215 million over 4 years, starting in 2019-20. Medicine Hat will receive $160,000 slated for bus stop infrastructure. Funding recipients are required to report on the ongoing project benefits annually for a minimum of 5 years after the project is completed.
