Alberta Legislature United in Opposition Against Bills C-48 and C-69
The chamber network was pleased to see all political parties in the provincial legislature support a motion in challenging federal bills C-48, the moratorium on tanker traffic off British Columbia's north coast, and C-69, altering how environment assessments on energy projects are conducted, on May 23rd. As part of the lead up to the federal election this October, the chamber network will be advocating for a regulatory system that works for everyone, including business. Vote Prosperity stresses that it is essential for Canada's regulatory system to provide appropriate environmental, social and economic protections, strengthen relationships with Indigenous peoples and help get our products to market without further increasing the cost of doing business.
