Member News: South Country Co-op Recognized with Award of Excellence

The Board and staff at the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce would like to extend our congratulations to South Country Co-op for being recognized with the Award of Excellence, Heart of Medicine Hat as part of the Community Spirit Awards given out by the City of Medicine Hat. We reached out to our long time member and needed to share their heartfelt comment:

"For over 60 years, Co-op has been part of Medicine Hat. Traditions that started decades ago remain the cornerstone of who we are today: a promise to stay local, a commitment to the community, and a profit-sharing business model for anyone who becomes a member-owner.

Being recognized as the “Heart of Medicine Hat” by the Community Spirit Awards and the City of Medicine Hat is an incredible honour. We’re excited and grateful for the support, which has enabled us to reinvest in our community in meaningful ways. We’re continuously looking for opportunities to get involved, and to meet our members’ needs, which are as unique as the towns we serve.
