How Can Canada Retain Key Talent? Five Principles Submitted by Canadian Chamber to Finance Canada
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) published their submission for Finance Canada's consultations on stock options. It included five main principles that focus on improving the Canadian economy by attracting and retaining key talent through compensation. On behalf of the Canadian business community the CCC recommends exempting companies that are investing in growth, expansion and re-structuring; clarifying how the rules will apply to avoid uncertainty; increasing the limit, consider how it will be determined, and permit its carry-over; encouraging financial flexibility for employers; and encouraging consistency across the compensation continuum.
