Federal Election by the Numbers
Elections Canada has released preliminary data gathered from polling stations across the country. During the federal election held on October 21, 2019 close to 18 million Canadians voted. This translates into a voter turnout rate of close to 66% (not including electors who registered on election day). Over 4.7 million voted at advanced polls, approximately 11,000 voted on campus and over 34,000 voted by mail from abroad. See more facts and figures for the 2019 general election.
