New Vaccine Incentive Program and New Covid-19 Restricts
A one-time incentive of $100 is now available for all Albertans age 18 or older who receive a first or second dose of vaccine between Sept. 3 and Oct. 14.
- Mandatory masks for all indoor public spaces and workplaces
- Restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, nightclubs and other licensed establishments will be required to end alcohol service at 10 p.m.
OHS laws effective date
The OHS Act and OHS Code changes will come into effect in late 2021, giving employers and workers more time to adjust to the new legislation, extending the original September 1 implementation date. Find out more about the key changes.
Special Ballot requests now being accepted ahead of the 2021 Municipal Election
City residents who will be out of town between Saturday, October 9, and Monday, October 18, are able to participate in the 2021 Municipal Election by requesting a Special (mail-in) Ballot. Requests for special (mail-in) ballots must be received before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, October 4. To request your ballot, contact Jessica Robinson, Deputy Returning Officer for the City of Medicine Hat.

Third vaccine doses available Sept. 1
Third doses of COVID-19 vaccine will be available for all seniors living in congregate care facilities and for immunocompromised Albertans starting September 1. In addition, mRNA doses will be made available to Albertans who are travelling to a jurisdiction that does not accept visitors who have been vaccinated with Covishield/AstraZeneca or mixed doses. Find out more.

From housing costs, and school availability, to fun places to visit, and things to do in the community, this site includes key information new residents are likely to ask about the region.
Created by Tourism Medicine Hat, in partnership with Community Futures Entre-Corp and the APEX Regional Innovation Network partners, and funded by Alberta Labour and Immigration, working in partnership with the Government of Canada to provide employment support programs and services, the website was created from insights provided from employers needing to attract skilled talent to the area. Redcliff Brick Plant Park - Grand Opening
We were pleased to attend the grand opening of the Redcliff Pressed Brick Park on August 27th, hosted by the Town of Redcliff and I-XL Ltd. Mayor Dwight Kilpatrick represented the Town, along with several Councilors and Town staff.
Clayton Sissons, President, Malcolm Sissons, Vice-President, and Graham Sissons, retired Vice-President, along with former I-XL colleagues from I-XL were also in attendance, including Allen Dillman, who was Superintendent of the Redcliff brick plant up until its closure.

Recognizing that time is money to Alberta's businesses, the program will offer streamlined applications, quick turnaround times, expanded technology lists and clear, timely, comprehensive information. ESB will give businesses fast access to incentives for cost-effective efficiency measures:
• Up to $250,000 is available per project
• Up to $500,000 per parent company is available to cover the cost of products and services.
• Minimum incentive amount of $500 *NEW

CMHA ASER currently has three ASIST workshops scheduled for the remainder of the year (Sept. 16-17,
Oct. 14-15, Nov. 25-26). Each of these interactive, two-day sessions will certify participants in suicide
