City CAO Announces Commissioner of Corporate Services

Robert Nicolay, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) with the City of Medicine Hat,announced a new Commissioner of Corporate Services. Dennis Egert will take on the role effective July 15, 2019.

Egert has been with the City of Medicine Hat since 2014 as General Manager of Finance. A Chartered Professional Accountant, Egert has previous experience in roles such as chief financial officer, controller, and audit manager with local, national and international corporations. He has extensive experience with strategy development and execution, project management, capital planning, investment management, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

As the Commissioner of Corporate Services, Egert’s portfolio will include Corporate Asset Management; Finance; Health, Safety, Environment and Emergency Planning; Human Resources; and Information and Computer Services.
